For the workshop side of the cave I wanted a good durable floor that also doubled as a dance studio for one of my sons who is showing some early prowess in dance (he certainly didn’t get that one from me!). Laminate flooring was the solution, but due to laying it down on a concrete shed floor waterproofing first was an order.

The process involved laying down the waterproofing, followed by a foam underlay, then the laminate boards over the top. The whole experience was incredibly satisfying, remarkably simple, and relatively cheap compared to the wood flooring equivalent.

Once the floors were in place I could start the finishing touches of a lick of paint on the walls and some skirting boards. The workshop is starting to take shape!

Cheers for looking, dan.
